Kirsten is happy that Alison did not take the money - she has always been adamant about finishing things, and her decision will allow her to do so. But since Alison did not take the money, the cash out option is put towards the rest of the contestants - take your weight loss percentage equivalent in cash and leave the game, or stay and forego the tens of thousands of dollars in front of you for a shot at $200,000 at the finale.
In the Trophy Room, the contestants sit and watch the DVD left for them, designed to coax a decision out of them as to whether or not they'll take the money and run or stick it out to the end. After a moment of silence Bryce speaks up - he wants to hit the gong. Bryce says that he had made up his mind to take the money. He doesn't want to win The Biggest Loser - he wants to win "The Bryce Story". With that Bryce gets up off the lounge and walks out towards the front lawns where the gong is, ready to be hit. He picks up the mallet and hits the gong - saying that he'll have his grand final when he gets home. Garry says that Bryce has come a very long way - he can leave with his head held high. Alison says his family is going to be so proud of him. Bryce says that he walked into The Biggest Loser a mess, and he leaves a changed man - the competition is responsible for making the next 60 years of his life "freakin'" unbelievable. He says his goodbyes and boards the waiting minivan. See you at the finale Bryce…
Shannan and Michelle run into the White House with a surprise for the remaining contestants - just something extra to reinspire them to finish their journey. Shannan has organised to get a letter from Sam's family which is set on the front page of a black bound book. Sam is overcome with tears, unable to read the letter out loud - he's clearly missed his family and receiving this letter from them means a great deal. Shannan flips through the book, which have photos of Sam from another life, another world - photos from his past. Sam says that the letter and photos has given him an extra push to make it through all the way into finale.
Michelle has also organised a letter for Garry from his family. Reading the letter, Garry says that he feels more motivated than ever. Michelle flips the book to a photo of Garry and his father - his toughest critic yet. Garry is sure that when his father sees him next he is going to be extremely proud of him.
Shannan pulls out a bound book for Kirsten containing a letter from her parents. Shannan flips the book to a photo of Kirsten sitting on a couch. Kirsten recognises the photo as the "old her". She's adamant that she will never go back to that kind of lifestyle, and wants to fill the rest of the book with picture of her future, not her past.
Shannan says that Alison's sacrifice while being in the White House has been enormous, and so the best way to rekindle that drive to succeed is to give her a letter from home. It's from her husband, telling her that they are all proud of her - this is definitely something Alison needs to become reinspired to finish the job. Shannan flips the book to show Alison a photo of the old her, and as Shannan says, Alison's eyes turn from joy to almost complete disgust. She definitely doesn't want to return to the way she was. Alison says that she wants to surprise everyone, and come in first in the finale…
It's the last Last Chance training - the last possible chance before the finale weight in before the finale. The contestants board the minivan under cover of darkness to a secret training ground organised by Shannan and Michelle. They reach an open field lit with stadium lights - as Sam says this is the last time they'll be training with Shannan and Michelle, so they need to give it 100,000%.
Both trainers put them through their paces, with crunches, dips, sit ups - anything and everything to get their heart rate up and roaring. And then the lights go out - they are in complete darkness. But this set back was not going to let the contestants stop them. Car lights are switched on and training continues as usual.
It's the morning of the finale weigh-in, and everyone wakes up nervous. This is the most important weigh in before the finale. The contestants get ready, and don their black jerseys. One by one, Garry, Kirsten, Sam and Alison walk into the Weigh-In Room for the very last time…
